So far, this project has been one of the most fulfilling moments of my career which it encourages me expanding my knowledge in video production.

This woman creates an ad on Craigslist under strictly platonic section where she gets a reply from someone. The day of the date she finds out that her date isn’t what she was expecting, but still accept the idea that this may become in something more.

This short film took Francisco 6 hours of filming and 36 hours of editing. He used two cameras to film wide shots, medium shots, and close shots. He felt inspired by this “new” subculture used by many people known as text message. He believes it is interesting showing this medium as a way to connect people, but sometimes it can get things misinterpreted.

"Strictly Platonic" Short Film

The pre-production, production, and post-production of Banana-CarCommercial took Francisco about a month where he used different mediums to make it happen. During the pre-production of this story, he came up with a storyboard where he explained his idea to a large crowd of people. The production of this story was troublesome to achieve because that was when he created 3D models by using Autodesk Maya. Once the models were completed, he added up textures in each model and eventually he included 4 or 5 cameras pointing out different angles to make the scene more vivid. The final step, the post-production was when he edited each shot filmed using Adobe Premiere Pro. The music used in the backgroud was found on SoundCloud.com from an English band called Prodigy.

Using multiple-camera technique, Francisco directed Cable 8's Community Promotions where he filmed, edited, and created community outreach promo videos. He also helped in the creation of storyboarding, wireframes, and conceptual development taking into account the physical constraints of production. This project allowed him to be involved at all stages of the process, from the design and pre-production stages and rehearsal right through to the final performance.

Cello Concert

During the filming of this concert Dr. Boden, the cellist, asked Francisco to record an hour long concert of her playing cello. He used three assistants and four cameras where they placed in different areas of the auditorium. Three cameras were set up on the first floor and one on the second floor. The audio came up straight from the audio room which enabled a high quality of sound. The editing portion of the entire concert took several weeks and the final product become one of the most sucessful musical films he has ever done.
